2009

Hey All,

The date is changing and this year, date change also bring a new year also a new decade......so it's the best time to wish all of loved one's to have a great decade. This has been really dynamic or rather eventful year for me and that's what i'm planning to do with this post. Rather than reviewing the year, i'll just put the story of the year. It has been a great blogging year, especially the last quarter. For that, i'm thankful to all of you. Love you all.

31'st December 2008

Yea, i remember that day or the night to be specific. Just some history first, my last job was as a tech support for Bank of America. So last year, i was on job. Yea, only 3 people were there working rather taking call and out of those 3, i was the only one on call at the stroke of the new year. We did had other people on floor but they were there to celebrate. Any way, yes i was on call with a man on other side. He called in with an issue but he seemed busy. I asked about it. So he told, there was some football match on TV and he didn't wanted to miss it. So i told him to go watch the match and i'll work on his computer and will let him know when it's done. I also greeted the guy Happy 2009 at the end. This was one of those unusual 00:00 of any 1st January's.

January 2009

January was good. Because it was "come back to work" month after the holiday season, like every year, so we were expecting a lot of calls with issues. January was the best month of my last job cause based on that performance i was awarded the best employee of the month and above all got the prize money. [Happy]. Best thing, i won the SPOT AWARD by EDS(now, HP) in only my third month of job. Other than that, i came close to my colleagues on floor with whom i'm still a friend's with and call regularly. See, i'm a good friend and i do stay for long.

Feburary 2009
 
I received the cash, so it was all party party with two of my close friends celebrating their Birthday's. There isn't anything other i remember specifically. Whatever, it wasn't even the longest of the months.

March 2009

I started feeling wasted at the new job. Being Computer Science Graduate, a tech support was never my dream job. I also felt of it as an intermediate phase, so that i can learn the industry till the time i get something substantial. I lost fun of working. So i started looking for new jobs.

April 2009

I saw the first window to move to a new city and new world. I got an offer from the another city, known as the "IT Hub of India", Bengaluru (Banglore, earlier). I came down to south India for the first time and also it was my first experience of flying. Though, it wasn't that good.....cause i threw up in while landing and as far as i could see in the plane, i was the only person. So it felt very embarrassing cause there were children and old people who didn't do the same. Anyways, the interview went good and i was offered the job. So, then it was my decision to when to leave the last job and to join the new one. Sat with parents and took decision to move to the new city.

May 2009

Resigned from the last job. Moved to the new city, away from family and friends. Joined the company on 6th of May. Felt very reluctant to work and missed family and friends a lot in the first week or so. Took on my first assignment at the new job and started working slowly.

June 2009

Moved out of my cousin's place and moved in with one of my schoolmate. Now, i felt the real independence when i had to buy grocery, vegi's, laundry etc. Also completed my first assignment in the same month, it took almost 2 months.


July 2009

Well don't remember much about this month other than a couple of treats we all office guys got from one person of the office who was getting married the coming month. Those were nice events to get in touch with the office people and team members.

Augest 2009

Celebrated first Raksha Bandhan away from home. It started the phase where i spent all the major festivals alone. Also, the same month sees Independence day of India. Also bought my first Kurta which i never worn before that day. One of my another schoolmate moved in with us. Now we were 3 and living in that place was more fun.

September 2009

Came back to blogging more seriously this time. Spent much time to attract to get more and more readers and making friends in blogging community which now i think i succeeded. The third guy moved out and ultimately which let to the last we two to split. So i started looking for a new place which i did find on the 20th Sep.



October 2009

For starters, i moved out from friends place and moved in to the new place with a new roomie. The month ended with me spending my first Birthday away from family. Good thing, it was the first one where i celebrated it at the stroke of midnight when i friends asked me to stay with them for the night and i cut cake at 00:00 AM. My first in my short life.....not that short that....officially i was 23 that day.

November 2009

November was a bad month talking about the work specifically. Don't have much to talk about it.

December 2009

First week, i had my first beach trip. Also got my first blog award from June Zach. The month was quite good. Got in touch with some old friends. The best part....came close to many blogger friends.


So friends this was my year 2009. Though you may find it boring but it is my life and it can be boring.

Ashford Eurostar station

Ashford International Railway Station, though the name is a railway station but other than the trains, nothing makes it feel like one. There facilities are top class which can easily compete with some of the world's best airport. They have all kind of facilities like different lounges, big parking space(2000 to be exact) etc. It is known to be one the largest Stations in Europe. You will find the fastest connectivity between different stations. They have this highspeed JAVELIN service which was launched on 29th June 2009.

Ashford is good city too.....you can easily find places to visit to. Trains from Ashford International to the continent take just an hour, which is much faster and cheaper than a trip to the airport.

This would be a great option and i'd prefer train if it takes same time as a flight cause i can see the scenic beauty of the country side too.

Last and the first time i went to the beach, i met some tourists who were more like nomads. Though living a life style like that or not....but really cheap hostels are always handy. Even i agree with the fact that wasting money on accommodation.....you find a cheap and decent accommodation and spend the money on food.....and other adventurous thing you want to do when you visit a place......

Piercing

Hey All,

Have you ever thought of piercing? Some how i got this feeling you may be having atleast a couple of piercing. Well about me, I wanted to get piercing especially after some of my friends got it done. But that was in college. There was one of my friend who got his eyebrow pierced and a silver ring kind of a thing he put in. Then the girls, they are like the first one to do the same. Though not extreme as eyebrows or chins but they go pretty traditional with nose and ear piercings. One girl i knew during college had 6 ear rings. Though it looked good but it felt weird that she went through the needle 6 times and that's tough cause i didn't even done that once. Though i don't regret it but i always feel that it was something i could have done. Putting some body jewellery through the piercing.....yea that looks really cool. Though the best i like is belly button rings specifically on girls...

So me, simple plain....no tattoo's or Piercings......but how many do you got???????

On Christmas Eve

Hey All,

Merry no the Merriest Christmas to you all. As you all know, India is a secular country and we welcome all kind of different religion. That's why whatever festival or occasion it is, it is celebrated here. Also, as you know, I live in Bengaluru or Banglore(know better as). Bengaluru is a Metropolitan city and also called the technology hub of India as most of the world's biggest companies have their India bases here. Also once Obama used the phrase that he wants the job in US to not be Banglored which now means outsourced now. I'm not praising but wanted to tell that all different kinds of people live in this part of the world. You find all religions and respective religious festivals are celebrated.

I'm not a Christan and sadly i don't even have a Christan friend and i'm not talking about you all blogger friends. I know you people are all my friends....... :)

I live alone in the city. There are like 3-4 people i know here with whom i can go out.......but out of those 4, three flew home cause of the vacation and the only one left has examz onn. So, i can't really go out, unless i want to go alone. Though i have a planned a shopping spree for Christmas ,for me not for others.

Yea, i stayed home on Christmas eve. People say loners do that only but in my defense, i don't have friends here second i saw the match between India and Sri Lanka which India Won.

Anyways, enough of sob sob......you all enjoy your Christmas and pray i can too.......

How many of you are into reading?

Well, i don't like reading that doesn't mean i can't read ..... it means that i don't prefer reading book. Though i have heard people saying books are very addictive. Even i tried reading book. The one and only book, i have read in my like of 22 years is "The Alchemist ". It's a fiction or Novel as many people say. It took me more than 15 days to complete the whole book cause i was just reading it and not enjoying it. The book had only 190 pages. Where as one of friend completed the Dan Brown's Book called "Digital Fortress" in two days. He said that he was not able to sleep in the night because of the book and that's when he decided to that he couldn't take it anymore and went on read and complete the book next day in straight 5 hours. Now that's a lot of reading to do for me atleast. The extent by which i used to hate reading book was that......that i always felt happy to complete my textbook in time atleast.

I prefer movies over books. I like to watch movies based on movies rather reading the whole book. People say that movies are a pathetic version of book. Don't ask me, cause i never read the book and really can't compare both of them. But as much as i'm addicted to movies, my friend is addicted to reading book more than that.

Ramblings

Hey All,

Before i start whining about thing here, first cheers to my brother who turned one more year old yesterday. He is officially now 25. Don't ask me about my age.

Last 10 days or so have been so awful. With literally no friends around here in the new city because my friends have flown back to home for the vacation and i'm rottening here in the strange-land thinking of new ways to kill time.That's when i started watching Grey's Anatomy and have been glued to it. I got a link on Internet where we can watch all America TV sitcom's and believe me there are a lot whom you want to watch. Also would like to mention, i hate reality TV. It's all f-ing scripted.

Sorry to the Entrecard fellow blogger cause i don't see me dropping EC's for sometime. I sometime think that i getting addicted to Entrecard cause there have been days whenever i don't drop EC's, i couldn't concentrate on work or anything on that day till i drop. After being consistently dropping EC since last 4 months i believe, i'm taking a break. I know i may drop some ranking point and many of the people will stop visiting me .....but this is one risk i'm ready to take.

Beach Trip 2 - Om Beach

Hey All,

First of all, this is 300th post......so me celebrating the 300 post on THE WAY IT IS. Thank you all for being here and your support.

Moving on, this is the part where i reach the beach. This is the second post in the series of three. We reached the place Gokarna in the morning about 10 AM IST. Being this my first trip to the beach, i was confused to what to do first because there is an ancient temple right in the middle of the city and some 300 meter away from the nearest beach. So what we decided was to go to the beach.....get wet, come back to the room and bathe and then go to the temple. Though, i'm not into religion, you can say i'm atheist but i love the history of India and the religion. I hate idolatry. Leaving that behind.....here are the pics from the Gokarna Beach.

Because, it was the first time at beach, that why my eyes were burning cause of the salty water but that didn't stop me from enjoying.

In the background, the OM BEACH, place we came for. This is the second beach if you coming from north to south and there are two more in the row named - NEW MOON Beach and PARADISE Beach. Though, Om beach is the largest but all the beach are peaceful and clean. This is place is some 100-150 KM from GOA, which has the most famous beaches in India that's why this place is not crowded. Here, we got what we wanted peace for two days. The place didn't even had mobile network coverage.

There were a lots of tourists here. You can say they were more in number that the natives. As the day started ending, it didn't even felt like India......so many tourist....black, white, tanned :) .......When talked to them found people were coming from all parts of India to this place. From Gulf Countries, Argentina, Greece, Portugal, Korea etc. Best part.....all were very satisfied by the their trip. Imagine when some body tells you your country and people are great huhhhh......yea, had that feeling.

People mostly come to India after retirement or if they are young, then to find peace. They get involved into religious activities too. I feel that strange.

That's my friend writing I LOVE YOU in Vietnamese. For the obvious reason that his girl friend is from Vietnam.

Cheap Domain Seller

I have been thing for a long time to buy a domain name and shift from this sub domain. With sub domains there are adverse affects. First and foremost, tha traffic ranking of the sub domain doesn't count or rated that higher. I meant even if you are working very hard to get your blog's alexa rank to decrease......it not worth it because ultimately you are bringing traffic to your domain and that why sub domains are not profited to the actual extent.

So that's where i found about these cheap domain names which are really cheap. They are giving it out for $7.49*. Now this is the least i have heard around till now and they provide you with the same facilities that other do. So why go expensive. Save that money for publicizing your blog or now its a web page.... :)

Beach Trip - Post One

Hey All,

It has been a long time when i posted something about me. So, today i'm starting a three post series of my trip to the beach, remember its was my first trip to the beach which makes it especial to me.

So the first post of the trip is about the Journey Starts. For the first set of pictures, i'm starting with the ones where we were travelling or sleeping...in the bus.

We were five people in this trip named Apurva, Hitesh(that's me), Nikhil, Raghav and Yogi. I was friends with the other three except Yogi, whom i met for the first time on this trip.

The bus was starting from a place close to our house at 19:30 PM Friday evening. Except Yogi, we all were on time but Yogi made a last minute entry.

There is Me in the front, then Raghav being dry humped by Apurva and Yogi almost getting lost at the end. Nikhil is missing from this one. But you can find in the next one.

Then about 21:30 PM in the night the bus was out of the city and on the highway to reach the place -- Gokarn/Om Beach.

Here, me behind the camera and other in front. Everybody was excited cause we were expecting to reach the beach early morning. The bus was a sleeper bus and was very comfortable. My friends took some liquor, yea we were carrying booze which they were thinking of having some in the bus to sleep better. Though i don't drink, so i brought cold drink for me. Half way in the journey, everybody else in the bus was either sleeping or snoring or doing both. My seat was in alone that means none of my friends were with me. Around 12 in the night because of all the cold drink , i was feeling to pee and have been holding for more than an hour cause the driver won't going to stop the bus for only one person to pee. Then, i went up to the driver and asked when will we going to stop. He said in next 15 mins.......which brought lots of relief. But i was thinking i had less water then what my friends had and how are they not feeling it. Then the bus stopped at a motel kind of a place. I went out ASAP and peed. Then i checked with my friends, asked why didn't they wanted to pee. They told that they could not hold it for long and filled up all the bottles we brought with us.

Yea, that is the extent of disgust guys can reach. Never mind, lets move forward. Then the bus took off from there......but after like 1 and half hour.....about 2:30AM in the night, the bus got punchered. Flat tyre.

There place was a no where land. No signs of living beings as far as we could look actually.

Well, i came accross this one.....which beats all of the one i have read till today. This is about "how to conceive a boy". This is totally strange. My First Blog Award

Hey All,

Its been a long time since i posted something relevant, well you guys will not need to wait for more.....cause i'm back from my vacations and want to tell a lot of stories to you.

First thing first, when i came back on Monday morning and opened my Gmail, there i saw a mail lying from the JUNE ZACH ..... more famously known as the Fledging Blogger in the Entrecard World. Well the message said he's presenting me with an award. It's a “Best Blog Award” and “A Loyalty Blog Award” and i was dude what did i do?

This is the second time in the last week when i was awarded something from June Zach. Before getting this award, i also received a free one month Advert place on his blog which will increase my blog traffic. I the top blog for the month of November on June's page ......he does a lot of counting and stats to find that out. I couldn't even look at my entrecard stats.....that's how lazy i'm.

But i really loved it because not only it's my first blog award but also, it's coming from June Zach, the kind of reputation he has in the blogging world.

Also, i need to pass this award to fellow bloggers whom i think deserve it. I want to clear things up. I don't know what are basics of awarding somebody, so my decision is all biased.

Hey All,

I have always been a great fan of sports. They are the best way to keep fit. Plus, you enjoy it. Then, above that fun and fitness ..... you get paid for it. I love to watch all different kind of games you can start with Cricket to soccer, golf, Lawn Tennis, Ice Hockey etc.  I can count more than 25 of them which i like to watch.

Golf is one of my fav cause it need precision and patience to be the best of the this game.  A lot precision and patience. Tough, Golf isn't such a big event in India but it's a famous all around the world. Tiger Wood is the name which represents Golf around the world. Yea, even after the cheating issues with wife. I doubt that will much of his image as a player.

So, talking about golf. There's this Golf course which i read in the news paper today. They got this good nice golf shop. The page is in German language, so would like to suggest Google translator for that. I did use it to read the real content. Check the golfshop which is a delight for a golf person. You can find all different kind of latest clubs availble in the world. They got the best. People are starting playing Golf in early age like 10-12.........earlier people only used to enter professional golf only when they thought of their retirement but its whole different story. They got the best facilities for Platzreife.

Surrogacy In India

Hi All,

I read this incident in the newspaper and then also saw a report in the prime time news today. Surrogate Mother's and surrogate laws in India are obsolete. The news is that there is a German couple who came to India and signed a contract with the surrogate mother in India in accordance to the Indian Law of Surrogacy or something else they call it. By which, after the birth of the child, the child is adopted by the father and mother.

The Case

As the twins have been born, all kind of issues are rising now. First, the couple who signed the contract are not together now, means divorced. The twins won't get a German citizenship cause its not the German couple's children naturally. Then, cause the children are born in India and has a Indian mother so they are Indian Citizen. But because of whatever the conditions where there in the contract, the babies aren't granted the Indian Citizenship too. Father wants to adopt the kids but Indian law doesn't let a single father adopt a child. This is a pretty complicated case but i'm thinking about the babies, to be precise, the disowned children. People who have disowned the child and people who want the child but can't have the child legally.

Similar Case A Year And Some Months Back (Baby Manjhi)

A Japnesse couple came to India for a surrogate mother. They did get one. But before the child was born, the couple got divorced. The mother who gave birth to the girl child, also disowned her. Now, when the father applied for the adoption, he couldn't get it because Indian Law won't let a single father adopt a kid. Then the mother in law of the father came in to save the girl. One of the sad thing was, the girl was left alone for more than 10 days in the hospital without anyone from both side. It took months to legally get the girl to Japan.

Finding surrogate mothers in India is really easy and cheap. By whatever i have searched about it, i got figures like $12,000 to $30,000 they charge to be the surrogate mother. Women rent their womb for people who can't conceive a child. Looking at it from one angle, makes it one of the biggest favor it can be for anyone. But of the other side........now its developing like some business. With no such rules or laws for the this surrogate process, people are doing anything they want.

At the end, i find it pretty disappointing. The only thing i would suggest to make some new laws for it so that the new born babies don't suffer by the consequences like being disowned.
