Are you an Enthusiast?

When I saw 127 hours, the movie by Danny Boyle, the one thought which was going round and round in my mind was can I, in my wildest dreams, do this? No, not axing my arm off my body, but to travel into a country side with no signs of humanity around, alone.

Then, may be I am not cut to be like this but i would certainly love to do something similar one day. Moving away from the culture and all the noises, somewhere far enough, quite enough for one to hear oneself. No wonder people retire and move to places like these and take a much deserved break from the hectic schedules of life and just indulge in the air and calmness.

Though, i feel its still to early to say something like this but I would certainly want move to a place similar in the latter years of my years. Well, being a googler, i tried googling my thought this instance again and found some interesting results. The one on the top was Boulder real estate, which seemed like a great place to escape to. You can find the various or may be all of the Boulder CO homes for sale and choose the fittest for your pocket and dreams.

Today's recommendation, take a back seat from your regular chores and just fall back to your childhood.

Practical

This small incident happen to me this Sunday which was quite strange to me as this was the first time i have experienced it. So here it goes.

Me and my roommate went out to shop for some daily stuff and all. When we were returning, one guy who looked educated, nicely dressed, approached us. But as soon as he opened his mouth, we could smell alcohol on his breath. He was drunk at 10 AM.

He stops us and started talking. He asked for some help. He was so drunk that he was fumbling all the time he was talking but was able to stand firmly on his feet. After, all the philosophical ramblings and stories, he started and which never ended, he asked for money. I have heard about this earlier as some of my friends have experienced it. So, i was firm and told him that i won't give him any money. Especially, when i was sure that he will take that money and drink more.

The strangest thing he said to me was, "Now, you're talking like an American" when i denied to give him money. And i was like, what is so American about this? I'm not at all emotional and have a pretty practical thinking in life. I didn't even feel pity for the guy. He was a well educated guy as we had the whole conversation in English and not in Hindi or any Indian Language. He said that he worked in some MNC as an quality analyst which means he must be financially capable enough to not beg people for Rs 30, which my friend, who i think got emotional[acc. to me] and Indian [acc. to him] gave him at the end. And he maintained, i was too rude and emotionless, i think.

I know, i'm practical and don't think much with my heart and this isn't the first time i have heard this. But i still think, this is a better way of living then being an Emotional Fool.

Martial Arts

I recently saw the new Karate Kid movie. It an amazing story. Even though, i have seen the earlier one but still i was thrilled about the new movie. I think, i started liking martial arts like Kung Fu, Karate, etc after watching them on TV or theater. I saw the movie. It is like a Cinderella story. I loved every bit of it and can confirm that if they make another karate kid, i'll will surely watch that one too.

As a kid, i thought of learning martial arts. But that was only because i felt it was cool. A cool way of defending yourselves. I used to go to the stadium where some people used to conduct Martial arts training. I sued to play cricket there but liked to sit down sometimes to watch the people practicing during my breaks.

There were times when i borrowed some of friends Martial arts DVD so that i can practice at home but i was much bigger fan of cricket to continue with martial arts. It was just a fling which flung as soon as the Karate Kid movie became old. But, watching the new Karate Kid movie brought all that excitement and love for martial arts back but it's still a fling.

Wishing On An Eyelash

Do you wish on an Eyelash? What do you wish for?

P.S. :- this is not an attempt to write a poem....but this did come up like one. You can read it like a poem....but i'd suggest to read it like a story.

An eyelash on my palm,
can't decide what to wish for,
good day at work or India's win,
happy mother's day for my maa,

went to god and asked,
why have i been always this confused,
never made a good decision,
never had that precision,

god said, you don't have to be,
it's just the other way you need to see,
you have everything but still you're sad,
your life isn't at all that bad,

a bit of determination with imagination,
you don't need to reach perfection,
a bit of satisfaction is worth all,
your life is not bad at all.

Traits of Darru

Hey All,

For all non Indian's, Darru means Alcohol and in the whole post, i'll be pointing Alcohol as Darru.

Darru never had a good impression on me. I'm saying it on record that not even a single drop of alcohol have been down through my throat and promise that it' won't happened in the future too. But, today no serious stuff.

Today, i'm reviling some of the drinking traits or "dormant" traits of a few of my friends. I'm saying that these are traits cause i know these are not induced but really are hereditary. Another thing....i'm saying "Dormant" cause they are dominant only when these people are drunk.

NOTE :- As i have not asked for the permission, thus, i'm not taking the names on record..but once done with permission.....i'll also post pictures.

Friend One:- This trait must be really popular with all the lovers or people whom hearts have been crushed. This guy, after drinking, calls all of his Ex-Girlfriends. Yea, he does. I have listened to one of the conversation too. The girl said,"Tu mujhe darru peene ke baad hi kyu call karta hai??(Why do you call me only when you are drunk??)". And, let me add, this is exclusive to his ex-girlfriends......no one else. One day i checked with the guy about when was the last time he called his ex-girl friend and he said "NEVER".

Colleague One:- This guy belongs to Kerela(Southern Part Of India). The native language of the state is Malayalam but when this guy is drunk, he only talks in "Hindi" which is no way near to the guy's native language, Malayalam. If you talk to him in Hindi, when he is not drunk, he fumbles with hindi.....but when drunk....though still he won't be fluent but he will answer in Hindi only.......even when you talk to him in his native language. This is one of most hilarious trait i have ever seen. You'll love him when he's drunk.

Friend Two:- He is also "Drink and Call Everybody" guy. But he is not exclusive to ex-Girl Friends or present one's. He tries to call each and everybody on his phone's contact book. One have to really take his phone away. One night he called an international friend and was on phone for close to an hour, that cost some 1000 INR(20 USD), you do the math.
Once he called me and started abusing our cook....."that **&$^$*** cook.....it's because him all of my friends(whom he was meeting after an year @ college reunion) are making fun of him by calling him 2 months pregnant cause of his spare tire(his new over grown belly)."

Colleague Two:- This guys EGO grows 100 times after drinking. You tell him,"Don't drink, you'll vomit or faint", he comes back to you, "I never vomit" and pours 2 more shots of Vodka down his throat and yea, obviously he vomits and then faints of on the same.....and sleeps on it.......till somebody agrees to help.

All these are real people.......pics, contact number and social networking ID can be provided, if asked and permitted. :)

Knowing these people is real fun .........Hope you were here.

I Wish

Hey All,

Today, when i was coming back from office to home, an incident happened which made me wish .......i wish people would never grow old. I wish they all remain kids or toddlers. I wish humans had a life span of 5 years.

I was crossing the road when i saw a car waiting at the traffic signal to go green. There was small girl sitting inside who had a bunch of roses in her hand. Then somehow she managed to drop one outside the window. I saw that. The girl saw me and asked "Uncle, please give me that flower". I picked it up and gave it her. Then she says "Thank You".

Though, this wasn't a big thing but it surely made me smile. I realized how true we were when we were kids. People had no expectations from us which made us enjoy the life as it is. No one to answer. Nothing to care about. For a change, the whole world there to take care of you. Always with your loved ones. No responsibilities. Whatever things gives you tension or stress, nothing was there at that time.

I don't remember how my days as a toddler were. I do have some pics of my childhood. I used to be plump like a potato. Never was like ones who used to easily get along with strangers. There are some memories which my parents or my brother told me about. But will post that later.

Its 12:30 in the nite here in India. Thanks for being here.
