Home, Trips and Job

It’s been an eventful month and half. Life has taken turns and twists and finally, it seems that I’m heading towards the right way.

Jaivan - Said to be the biggest Cannon of that time. It was fired only once with a 50 Kgs Cannon ball and 100 Kgs of Gunpowder was used.

I’m back at home after, living alone and away from family and friends, almost a year and half. I took a months vacation from working and spent it with my family and friends, took a couple of road trips to two of the most historic cities of India – Agra and Jaipur. And after a month long vacation, I’m back at work, though in a new firm and a new location, which is closer to home, meaning I don’t have to live away from my home.

Let me start from the day I came back. After reaching home, I was overwhelmed by the reactions people gave me. Reactions from family was obvious but from friends was quite unexpected. My friends took time out of their daily working schedule to meet me at my home. I had my next 4 weekends planned with in 24 hrs after I landed home. Then, I got so many messages and online wishes from so many of my online friends on my birthday, whom I really miss now because, nowadays I spend like zero hrs online and reading blogs compared to the amount of time I gave when I was in Bangalore. I will have to blame it on my friends to whom I was eager to meet after a long time.

Moving on, I got lucky when I got to go on two road trips with my friends. I love road trips and India being such a huge country and diverse, even I was surprised by the things we saw on our road trips. Things which we had only heard of but never seen. First road trip to Taj Mahal was a hit. I would say the best part of the trip was that we were only three friends on this trip and three make a good group and more can make a crowd. Any who, this was the second time I saw Taj. Then last weekend, we were in Jaipur and after we reached there, we heard Freida Pinto and Dev Patel were in the town too. But we had everything planned and were on jam packed schedule that they didn’t get to meet us. Poor them.

Coming to the third event, yup, the new job. Best thing about this job is that it’s closer to home and is good for my skill set. Hope to find some good work here and that this firm helps me get what I want.

Well, I hope this post pretty much explains why I have been out of scene for some time. Also hope to be here more however there are thin chances but will make appearances.

P.S. :- It’s marriage season in India these days plus there are lot of auspicious dates around next couple of weeks. I have received a lot of invitations of my relatives and friends getting married. I haven’t attended a single wedding from last two years, so I’m pretty excited about.

Aamer Fort - It's huge. Loved it. Jodha Akhbar - the movie was shot here.

Three Out Of Five

I don't know if you'd understand the metaphor behind the title i gave this topic just by reading it, however, there is a slightest of chance of you really understanding it, if you have a older sibling. But, understanding the title right now isn't important....... but i surely hope to justify it by the end of this post.

This post is dedicated to my older sibling. My bro.

I was sitting, hoping for the journey to end soon, when i saw two little boys running up and down in the aisle of train. As soon as the small one falls and gets upset, the older one comes back, picks him up and takes him along with him. And the little one did it a couple of times and i knew it was intentional because as they say "been there done that".

It reminded me of the days when we used to play together. It’s been a really long time since that happened last time. We both are huge fans of cricket, but I now when I think about it, feels as if he induced it into me. However, I really thank him for that because after all the game has become a big part of my life.

I don’t have any huge or life changing memories of me and my bro but I do remember a lot of small ones like the day he banged the bike into a pillar when I was sitting behind and hurt really bad. Like the days when our parents used to leave us alone at home and I used to sit/lie and watch cartoons whole day and he used to do all the chores.

Whenever there was something which couldn’t be divided equally ..... I was the one to get 3 out of 5. May be its something all older sibling do or may be not but this is something I learned from him.

No wonder I grew up to be spoiled but that’s cause I always knew that I have someone to look back to. Some one I can always fall back on. I know I may have taken him and still taking him a lot granted but I’m trying to improve and trying to be independent.

Hope to be the guy he can always fall back on.

Letter to Future Me (2020)

Hey Future Me,

The first thing I want to start with is that I hope that the life then wouldn’t be as lousy as it is right now.

I haven’t really clearly decided on different kinds of questions like what to do and where to be, but hoping you would have it all cleared up then. Really hope you don’t suck at decision making by now. You have been the most suckiest person when it comes to decision making that I have ever seen in my life. I mean even Yuvraj singh makes better decision when playing towards off side then you. OMG, you suck more than Yuvraj Singh. Congrats on touching the new level of sucking present me.

Okay, moving on. You must still be fan of Ameesha Patel and Drew Barrymore, until and unless, you are married to one, then the first condition is void. Well not going to talk about it much now..... you know why.

And one thing that you have to make sure is to buy a Harley Davidson or if you still can’t afford it then you should surely have the Indian brother for Harley Davidson – Royal Enfield.

You should still be in love with movies. I mean you should have a big, huge mountain of all the favorite movies DVD, unless, somebody invents something better to store data into.

Hoping that you must be multi-lingual by then and don’t have to struggle while talking to people from different parts of Indian or other countries.

You must be friends with all the people with whom i’m right now. This is not optional. I have had great friends and family and you better be not broken up with any one of them.

AND THE MOST IMPORTANT.

If humans have perfected time travel by then and you own one of the time machines, then tap me on the head on 21 hrs:10 mins:30 secs on 1st October 2010.

Okay, I waited 3 mins for that tap and it didn’t came so I assume that you don’t have the time machine or may be humans haven’t perfected it till then. Damn it.

Well, these are the things on top of my mind right now. Will keep you posted if anything comes up. Hope to see you soon.

2009

Hey All,

The date is changing and this year, date change also bring a new year also a new decade......so it's the best time to wish all of loved one's to have a great decade. This has been really dynamic or rather eventful year for me and that's what i'm planning to do with this post. Rather than reviewing the year, i'll just put the story of the year. It has been a great blogging year, especially the last quarter. For that, i'm thankful to all of you. Love you all.

31'st December 2008

Yea, i remember that day or the night to be specific. Just some history first, my last job was as a tech support for Bank of America. So last year, i was on job. Yea, only 3 people were there working rather taking call and out of those 3, i was the only one on call at the stroke of the new year. We did had other people on floor but they were there to celebrate. Any way, yes i was on call with a man on other side. He called in with an issue but he seemed busy. I asked about it. So he told, there was some football match on TV and he didn't wanted to miss it. So i told him to go watch the match and i'll work on his computer and will let him know when it's done. I also greeted the guy Happy 2009 at the end. This was one of those unusual 00:00 of any 1st January's.

January 2009

January was good. Because it was "come back to work" month after the holiday season, like every year, so we were expecting a lot of calls with issues. January was the best month of my last job cause based on that performance i was awarded the best employee of the month and above all got the prize money. [Happy]. Best thing, i won the SPOT AWARD by EDS(now, HP) in only my third month of job. Other than that, i came close to my colleagues on floor with whom i'm still a friend's with and call regularly. See, i'm a good friend and i do stay for long.

Feburary 2009

I received the cash, so it was all party party with two of my close friends celebrating their Birthday's. There isn't anything other i remember specifically. Whatever, it wasn't even the longest of the months.

March 2009

I started feeling wasted at the new job. Being Computer Science Graduate, a tech support was never my dream job. I also felt of it as an intermediate phase, so that i can learn the industry till the time i get something substantial. I lost fun of working. So i started looking for new jobs.

April 2009

I saw the first window to move to a new city and new world. I got an offer from the another city, known as the "IT Hub of India", Bengaluru (Banglore, earlier). I came down to south India for the first time and also it was my first experience of flying. Though, it wasn't that good.....cause i threw up in while landing and as far as i could see in the plane, i was the only person. So it felt very embarrassing cause there were children and old people who didn't do the same. Anyways, the interview went good and i was offered the job. So, then it was my decision to when to leave the last job and to join the new one. Sat with parents and took decision to move to the new city.

May 2009

Resigned from the last job. Moved to the new city, away from family and friends. Joined the company on 6th of May. Felt very reluctant to work and missed family and friends a lot in the first week or so. Took on my first assignment at the new job and started working slowly.

June 2009

Moved out of my cousin's place and moved in with one of my schoolmate. Now, i felt the real independence when i had to buy grocery, vegi's, laundry etc. Also completed my first assignment in the same month, it took almost 2 months.

July 2009

Well don't remember much about this month other than a couple of treats we all office guys got from one person of the office who was getting married the coming month. Those were nice events to get in touch with the office people and team members.

Augest 2009

Celebrated first Raksha Bandhan away from home. It started the phase where i spent all the major festivals alone. Also, the same month sees Independence day of India. Also bought my first Kurta which i never worn before that day. One of my another schoolmate moved in with us. Now we were 3 and living in that place was more fun.

September 2009

Came back to blogging more seriously this time. Spent much time to attract to get more and more readers and making friends in blogging community which now i think i succeeded. The third guy moved out and ultimately which let to the last we two to split. So i started looking for a new place which i did find on the 20th Sep.

October 2009

For starters, i moved out from friends place and moved in to the new place with a new roomie. The month ended with me spending my first Birthday away from family. Good thing, it was the first one where i celebrated it at the stroke of midnight when i friends asked me to stay with them for the night and i cut cake at 00:00 AM. My first in my short life.....not that short that....officially i was 23 that day.

November 2009

November was a bad month talking about the work specifically. Don't have much to talk about it.

December 2009

First week, i had my first beach trip. Also got my first blog award from June Zach. The month was quite good. Got in touch with some old friends. The best part....came close to many blogger friends.

So friends this was my year 2009. Though you may find it boring but it is my life and it can be boring.

Thanks for coming by and always remember...i love you all.

Ending with we all \,,/

Changes Are Here

Yea, i never thought that my life will change. I hate changes so much that still i want to get back and make everything exactly as it was. But i know, change is the natural phenomena. I have grown. Moved out. These are the big moments of your life. Need of compromise.

Some of the things i have lost while moving from my Teens to responsibilities :

1 Cricket - Man i miss my cricketing days. Its not that i can't play now but its really tough to get people around you raise up to play cricket. No one wants to, also i know time is a big issue. But i want to, i can take out time for it but no body else. But i know one day, i'll be back there.

2 Movies - If you are wondering why i have almost stopped writing about the movies and everthing......... cause i'm not watching much these days......in college life, i used to watch atleast one movie a day on an average but now......its not even once a week and the main or primary reason for this is Time which i don't get now.

3 F'n'F - I miss my friends and family. I never thought they would ever mean so much to me. And yea, you will never know till the day you go away. I left my home, my city for job and moved to a new place. Yea, i have friends here......but still i lived there for 21 years of my life. Its not that easy.

4 Blogging - Yea, another thing. I liketo write. One place i can express no matter what happen. I like being here. But another issue with blogging...... i get time only in the weekends to do it. But i make sure i do it atleast on weekends and visit you all in the weekdays.
