My Sassy Girl – Could Have Been Better

This is the third version of the same story I have seen. My Sassy Girl is one of those movies, which I believe, is made in more than 2-3 languages. Yes, before watching this movie I have already seen the same story in two other languages “My sassy girl” in the Asian language, not sure about language (Apologies for that) and the second language was my own “Hindi” and the movie was called “Ugly and pagli”. Well the North- East version was the most successful version of the same story and also I believe the Indian version was the worst adaptation of the same story. But I preferred this adaptation than the Indian version but surely less than the North-East version.


Moving ahead. This movie was good, I like the Elisha in this movie. Actually this is my just second “Elisha” movie other than “The girl next door”. Well I have said so much about the first two version of the movie that I am incapable of describing this movie. I appreciated the story in NORTH EAST version and condemned the Indian version and now I really can not think about rating this movie which lies in between the two versions. I think the direction could have been better and also felt that a couple of more instances could have been added to show the dominating feature of the leading female character in the relationship. Yes there were a few instances but that did not convince me atleast.


Would say if you have not seen this movie till now, do it like this first watch the north-east Asian version than this one and if you are still not pissed off by the story watch the Indian version.

The House Bunny – Never Mind

I was Anna Faris Fan, yes was because I really felt that she could be a better actress than she looks on the screen because of all the those weird characters she have done. But The house bunny is one more in the same list which has a lot of these kind of stupid movies with no actual substance. This movie also felt like I have seen or knew everything about it. The movie is so predicable, just after the initial 15 minutes you can actually guess the whole plot the movie. There is nothing in the movie which will keep you glued to the seat. This is one of the most unbearable movies of this year if not in the history.

Anna faris carried her image of the blonde, dumb and beautiful bunny, who is thrown out of the playboy mansion. After a comfortable life how she lives in the world outside her boundaries of the playboy mansion?

I always felt that she can be more than what she already is. One of my favorite Anna faris movies is Smiley Face. But have not seen a good selection of movies from her side after or before that. She is really disappointing me.

The Sisterhood Of The Travelling Pants 2 – Carrying On

I liked the first part or the first movie. I saw that one earlier this year and also heard after a couple of months after that the second part of a sequel is also in the pipeline. I liked the movie so much that was eager to waiting for the sequel to hit the screen. Most of my friends thought that the movie was way much girly but I never thought so. The movie had a lot emotions presented in one script with such brilliance.

Ok lets talk about the new one. This part also shows the girls sharing the pants over the summer’s vacations which again bring a lot of luck or magic to there life. This time also they go through a lot of emotional disturbance. One falling in and out of a relationship, second changing the perception towards her father, other also falling in and out of the relationship in a bit different manner and the last one going through a phase of life which can change her future.

Movie again can boast about the amazing performances by the leading ladies :-

Lena – Alexis Bledel
Tibby – Amber Tambyln
Bridget – Blake Lively
Carmen – America Ferrera

Also my personal favorite in this second part or the sequel was Tibby and Carmen and that does not mean that the others were not good. Amber (Tibby) felt transformed to a new person in this one than the earlier one. Other looked almost if not exactly the same but Amber looked so changed physically or improved as an actor too in this one.

A thumbs up from my side for this one and if you have not seen the first one then go and see the first one first and than come back to this one.
