The Love Guru -- Below Expectations

I think this movie was made insane. I mean they wanted the character to feel and pretend insane. The Guru character felt stupid through out the movie. Don’t know why Jessica Alba wasted her time in such a movie.

I didn’t find the movie funny or would say specifically the Guru. Mike Myers may have put in a lot into the character but the character or the guru was like stupid. Yes, I was comparing the movie to the “GURU” which was released 3-4 years before. “The Guru” being a good movie with a good story and good comedy was far much better than “The Love Guru” whose comic style felt stupid.

The only character I like in the movie was the Coach of the team “Maples” and especially when the movie ends and it shows the behind the scenes thing, the dwarf guy was standing and the camera man says (while focusing on the coach)“somebody move the people out cause all I see here is ass ‘n’ butts” and the coach replies “Now you know what it feel likes……” and everybody laughs……..i’ll that was the best part of the whole 2 hours I spent in the theater.

Won’t rate much this movie because I think It was a total waste of time.

College – Another One In The Queue

Before watching this movie is just went through some comments on the movie which felt good to me or may be I read only the good one. The movie was good but won’t say that it has done more than expected. Many parts of the movie will give you a feeling of Déjà Vu, I mean you’ll feel as if you have seen it before or you have been expecting this. Yes, because of lot of movie being made in the same genre, it is difficult to bring something new every time. I have seen two movies after “Superbad” that have failed to impress me atleast. “College roadtrip” and I’ll count college is the same group too. I mean I have seen many good movies which were based on college life but “College” was certainly not one of those whom I’ll remember.

I think the plot or the script from the starting felt like being repeated but I would say that is something I won’t feel shocked about because beginning can be similar. But there was not much to expect in the between the movie too. Yes, the movie won’t bore you. I mean it has its moments but if you have seen a few college life movies then you will feel déjà vu.

The actors have done good job or justice to their characters. I don’t have much to say about the characters because they were good in their jobs. The only thing movie lacked was a good script.

Rock On -- Awesome Music

Rock on is one of those movies of this year whom I wanted to watch since the first trailer I saw of the movie. India’s, I believe, first rock music movie. The first thing which will attract you the movie is the awesome music of movie with an equally rocking lyrics and when Frahan Akhtar sung them in his own voice that made them out of this world and will be one of those eternal musical movies. I can surely say that the music of Rock On will never die.

Rock On’s cast is one of its best features also. Farhan Akhtar Stars as the lead actor who has performed what we can say a good but I believe it could have been better but nevertheless. Prachi Desai has lived up to the expectations. She was equivalent to what she has done in the past with a really excellent performance. One of the surprise packages was Arjun Rampal as this is one the couple of movies by arjun I liked; I mean his performance in the movie. This time he has sincerely rocked the world. Purab kohli is one those actors in the cast whom I can trust for his performance. He is a good actor and I believe is also a consistent performer. In every movie is just awesome. Kenny is also good in the movie. I liked him through out the movie.

Awesome movie with equivalent music but a bit low on performance but you wouldn’t even feel it because of the excellent script and the way movie keeps its pace throughout the movie.

One of the must watch for Indian movie fans of this year.

Professional Shit

Being some one who has just come out of an environment of college, where everyone around was a friend or a foe, and entering into an environment of an MNC (multi national company) where every one around is friend but almost everyone is against you. People say this what being professional means where you keep yourself for yourself and for your work and before helping another person everybody thinks of what is there for him in that favor. I believe being professional is being a selfish person and the more selfish you are, the more professional you’ll be.

I don’t know weather this is a general thing because from where I’m today I can’t generalize this perception over every working person but I believe its atleast true for the people who work around me. If you ask some one for help, the person will surely check to what extent that help can be harmful to him/her-self which I believe is something which I didn’t even think of especially for small favors. After checking for the extent of harm, the person will check the extent of profit or usefulness of that favor. People around here think so much before doing something that it frustrates or rather irritates the other person. At least during school life we had a direct answer of YES or NO but not here. Because of the amount responsibility, a person have on himself and at his level, which makes a person think of everything and what I believe is that at smaller levels of corporate network people can’t even think of taking risk. They have to play safe so that they can deliver the best according to their potential. People become so focused and involved in themselves that they don’t even have a social life any more. Still I’m not generalizing my perception here. But I have seen it around me.

These being professional talks feel so frightening to me. Its makes me think of how will I survive with these kind of people around me but I know, I have to learn it and learn it fast before people around me try to use me too for their own self.

Wall-E -- Another Master Piece From PIXAR

Man PIXAR production people are like magicians. They way they put life into their characters, with especially that extraordinary expressions, is awesome, out of this world. I would like to suggest all the people who will be reading this post to not miss even a single PIXAR movie. Go ahead and watch their entire movie collection because their movie is not just about presenting the best animations but also putting forward simple yet extraordinary stories on the screen. PIXAR has a great history and any one can easily predict, now, that PIXAR do have a great future ahead.

There is everything prefect about the movie WALL-E. A really well weaved story and also would like to mention the way these people produce a movie, I found small little which, may be, one won’t notice in a movie and all those small things were so perfect. Everything was exactly where it should be. Small jokes, those little one’s which brings a smile on your face.

A must watch movie. PIXAR carries the tradition on with Wall-E.
