Delhi’s First Gay Parade

Homosexuality doesn’t have the same status in India as in other countries of the world where there are proper laws defined like the gay marriages. Also homosexuality isn’t new to India. I have read about some prince was thrown out of the family just cause he admitted that he was a homosexual. There also been many incidents where homosexuals were not allowed to live normal lives. Have heard some incidents where the said to be “normal” people beat or kill the other “abnormal” people.

What is with this abnormal tag…..???? Discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation. People just don’t want to get near to a homosexual man or woman. Don’t know what they think of them. These are people just like us who can do work as well as we do. The problem with the “normal” people is that they aren’t open to homosexuals. They don’t want to talk to them, not even try to face them. Homosexuality is a truth of present time and please, stop believing that its some kind of disease. Same kind of discrimination was seen in cases of AIDS infected people when people didn’t want to get close to them.

Some of my not so serious experiences of what people think of homosexual, was when I found out what my friends think of homosexuals. I’m a movie freak, like to watch movies as many as I can that’s why I’m open to all kind of movies. So this one time me and my friends were discussing about the movies we have seen. When I told them about the movies that I have seen which contains or based on homosexuality like Gia, Brokeback mountain, their expression was like “why are you watching these kinda movies…..don’t you these are gay movies…..it not something for us” and all kind of stuff. It was a long discussion. At the end I realized that now a day men fear homosexuals cause homosexual have induced a fear into men what was earlier induced by men in to women.

The fear, I’ll tell you this with an incident my friend gone though. One day me and other 3 of my friend was on a highway trying our luck for a lift a home before the bus arrives. So after some time, on the highway, a super sexy car stops. A red colored skoda. We asked him if he can drop us 4 to some place but he said he will only take one of us. So one of us, who was in a hurry cause of he had some class to attend, took it. Then after a day when I met the my friend he told me that that guy was a gay and after sometime they left us at that point he started flirting and getting a bit physical with him but he retaliated and asked him to stop.

The person didn’t do anything then on but when he was telling me the whole incident I could see the fear in his eyes. Something normal to a girl. Now a days most of guys don’t go alone on the highway, try to avoid lonely lifts or get someone to go through them or take a bus when alone. My friend never got on the highway alone again.

This post is to support the fact that discrimination should be stopped. People shouldn’t be discriminated on their sexual orientation. I don’t have any personal experience to share related to this but still I know that it is practiced. Also as I’m not a professional in writing, so would like to apologize if somebody get hurt with this post.

Impulse – Nothing New

Well this movie turned out what I’d like to say as the usual cause there was nothing in the movie which I can say I felt new. The basic story is something I have seen a lot and this made the movie so unexciting. I saw the whole just to find out where it differs from the usual.

The only difference was the rich women finds a man identical to her husband and thus does “it” with him without knowing that he isn’t the right man and when she finds the fact that he isn’t his hubby then she asks him to leave but till now this man converts to a stalker and psychopath. Then the usual what you can think of easily.

So, I’d suggest to skip this movie. Yea the only think I liked about the movie was there was a really good foreplay scene.

Sydney White – Amanda Bynes Is One Of My Fav Teens

I have seen Amanda and liked her in the movie “She’s the man”. That movie was also very good like this one. And both the movie has that especial content “Amanda”. She brought so much of life into the characters she played in both the movies. She was so much convincing in both the movies it felt that she is same in her real life too, may be, cause I don’t know.

This movie is real good with some of the famous and popular contents of teen movies like bitching, romance, mean girls etc. I like the humor of the movie. Other than Amanda I like Sara Paxton and some of the roomies of Sydney.

The story of the movie is very much like the fairy tale where there is a beautiful girl, waiting for her prince charming, entrapped by an evil lady. I’m not going to reveal more on the story cause of its predictability, yea the story is very predictable but still this the movie is good.

Ants In The Pants – Understanding The Reality Of Teens

The name was weird and that was why I downloaded this movie from the internet but when I read reviews about this movie, which were very misleading cause I really liked this movie. The movie explores the world of a boy who has just reached his teen.

The boy who has just hit his puberty is in great confusion cause suddenly his d**k has started to talk to him. He suddenly feels pervert and immense feel to have _ _ _. The movie shows the very fact which a normal teenager must have felt in his that period of life.

For the movie was awesome as it has shows a real good and intelligent story.

40 Days And 40 Nights – Wat Will You Give Up For Her ?

When I heard about the movie, felt a really exciting story with whole lot of entertainment for the audience. The cast of the movie also raised some expectations for me. Josh Hartnett, have seen a couple of his movies (Black Hawk Down and Pearl Harbor) and also have a couple of them lined in for the next week on DVD(Lucky Number Selvin and The Black Dahlia. Although Shannyn Sossamon was new to me haven’t seen any of her movies.

The movie is good, good will be an understatement cause it is very good. I like the whole concept, cause I think the move of taking up a vow to keep himself from “it” for 40 days was much difficult to do than just saying it. Josh Hartnett was very convincing in the character and yes, I also like Shannyn Sossamon in the movie may be cause of her orthodox and unconventional looks in the movie which I think was very sexy.

This movie is a great entertainer, watch it.

Horton Hears A Who – A Person is a person no matter how small he is

I am a great fan of animated movies and have seen many of them and was also eagerly awaiting this movie too. I have also heard a few things about movie’s story as Jim carry plays an elephant and Steve cartall plays a Mayor.

Movie is beautiful and presents an even more beautiful metaphor to the audience and this is especially what I like about animated movies. They are always in front of us with a moral.

This movie is also with a message. It is at the same time also really funny with some of those Jim carry moments in between. Don’t want to tell much about the movie cause I want everybody to watch this movie.

8/10 stars.

Super Star – So-So Movie But Over All Entertaining

Superstar is a directorial debut but its is a very well treated script and also a credible performance by the actors in the movie especially Kunal Khemu. It almost felt like he took the whole movie on his shoulders.

Kunal playing double role one as a struggler trying to make it big on the dream screen and also a middle class guy and at other hand the other character is a millionaire’s son with no talent but gets launched as the biggest star cause his father being the producer. The struggler kunal’s fate changes cause his dream of being a star are shattered cause someone else has entered the industry with similar face and now he is just a mere duplicate. But in an accident, involving both the similar looking people, one of them gets killed and then how this accident changes the life of all and who survives the accident the struggler or the star……..

The music of the movie is good but wasn’t successful but I personally liked a couple of the songs in the movie.

The movie is good if not extraordinary but can give a try to it.

Aamir – The Leader

Aamir is the perfect debut for a new actor who came to the industry to act and not to flaunt his good looks. As this year is been marked as the year in which maximum new bees will be seen on the silver screen, this movie will certainly help Rajiv Khandelwal to stand out among the others. This movie contains everything a debutant will want. A beautiful script of an even better plot which gives him the whole lot of time to show of his acting talent. The direction is simple and good cause I think its more difficult to keep things simple than making extraordinary things or exaggerating the plot.

There are very few model turn actors whom I liked in movie or you can say who can really act and Rajiv is one of them, at least the first movie suggests that. There aren’t more characters to talk about cause most of the time it was all Rajiv on the screen.

The music of the movie is really good. The song and the lyrics are something which will be there in the mind for long. Slow, soft music very appropriate for the movie and nothing stupid is done like including any item numbers.

Over all one of the best in 2008 in Indian movie industry.

Drillbit Taylor – Bullies Back Off

Owen Wilson as a body guard, well this is something to look out for. This movie is real funny at many moments and with Owen Wilson at his best, movie feels real good.

Three new kids of the high school hire a body guard when they were brutally beaten by some bullies in the school. Incomes Owen Wilson, a bum, who is a deserted private with no work in hand and eats from garbage cans and want to go to Canada so need some money. He joins the kids trying to fool them so that he can get the money to go to Canada but slowly falls in love with them and try to help them out. But how he does that is the movie about.

The movie is very sweet with the perfect elements of a good comedy plus a teen movie. The performances by all the kids in the movie were really good. I like the Troy Gentile guy the most, he was funny. Owen Wilson could have been better but nonetheless.

I don’t know much of the technicalities of the movies but you all will certainly like this one.

Shaurya – The best of year-08 till now

I really wonder why real good movies like Shaurya doesn’t get that good of exposure in the market. These kind of, may be a low budget, movie never gets that much of public applaud which it deserves. It is never marketed well enough to attract masses to the theater. I can really say that when I watched this movie more than 90% of the people in the theater liked it and would agree on that it was the best of this year till date.

But the producers or whom so ever responsible for the movies publicity has done a poor job this time. The produces have to spend some money on this department too. You can not rely on the mouth to mouth publicity and it takes time too.
Everything in this movie is what I liked. Beautifully directed, well performed characters, nice songs although doesn’t have dozens of them and the metaphor of the movie. Performances by the actors in the movie were just incredible no incredible wouldn’t be the appropriate word for this excellent should be. Kay kay Menon OMG when ever he came on the screen he just dominated it. It seems he was the master of the realm he was standing and portrayed the character tremendously. Although there were out standing performances in the movie by Rahul Bose, Minissha lamba, Javed jaffery and other character artists but Kay kay Menon will live with this character in the history of the industry.

Rahul bose performance as the guy who just wanted to enjoy his life and wants everything to be served ahead of him on the platter was terrific. More than often he looked so convincing the character that the audience really believed him. Minissha lamba as a reporter who want to be some one, make it big and also wants to take the truth out in front of the people looked very eloquent.

This is one of my favorite movies of all time.

Race – Typically Abbas Mastan

Race really had an impressive star cast with some of the industries best and popular stars associated with it. The trailers of the movie suggested it would be another Abbas Mastan best following the series of movies like Khiladi, Bazigar, Humrazz etc. The music of the movie was already a hit before the release of the movie.

But the movie was a big disappointment for me. The story of the movie revolves around the two brothers who want to kill one another and thus taking over the whole money and the inherited property. But the thing which made me unlike the movie was there where to many twists and turns in the movie which gave a feeling that director did whatever he liked in the movie and including unwanted twists and turns in the movie which lead to a really untactful movie.

Performances in the movie where just according to the movie, appropriate to the characters nothing too low or too much. The better performances came from Biphasha basu and Akshaye khanna, whom I liked more than anyone else in the movie.

But overall I can say this is one of those Abbas Mastan movies I really would like to forget fast.

100 Girls – A Really Good Teen Movie

When I heard and saw the trailers, I thought this movie will be similar to the sex comedies I have seen earlier with just naked gals and bosoms all the way but it was different and good. Yea, it had that adult content so keep the kids away but still it presents with a good perception and attitude towards women. This is one of those teen movies where there is a beautiful metaphor to the movie and story which brings some goods thoughts to the audience not like those non sense sex comedies.

Performances in the movie were as appropriate as the movie demands nothing low and nothing high. The movie had a simple and sweet story and the performances are very close to it. It had some faces I have seen earlier like Jamie Presley in “Poison Ivy 3” and Katherine in “Knocked Up” and “27 Dresses”. Other than that the cast was new to me as I haven’t seen any of them before. Jonathan tucker was really good and when ever he delivered his dialogs he looked very eloquent. Emmanualle chirque was also good. I think the best thing about the movie was the whole cast acted very much what character they had in the hand.

Double Murder Case In Noida……..The Arushi Murder Case

This is one of the most shocking cases of all time I have heard and seen about. Today is the 27^th day since the incident took place and from then till now not a single day been there when people don’t talk about the case. Every body has there own perception towards the case and everyone has an accused with all different motives. All the people around the nation are talking about this news. There is not a single day when one of the national news channels hadn’t broadcasted a show or special report on the case. Some of the news channels have hired private eye’s for this case on their own and some of them have become detectives by themselves.

There’s so much happening after the 15^th may case. There is a turn or something new is found everyday by the police, now CBI. With so much of talks going on around I sincerely feel about the family about what they have been going through since last month and if the police is right, that the family is guilty of murder, than what kind of parents are they? God

I really don’t want to talk about what have lead to the incident and what were the motives and don’t want to draw any conclusions, here and neither wants to comment something on.

But the only thing I would like to wish is that the investigation completes soon with the accused guilty person hanged. And also would like to appeal to the news channels to not create unnecessary hype about the case and try to be focused on the true story rather than following to the “bottomline”.

Its Her B’Day……..Amisha Patel ( 9- June)

She is the best to me, atleast to me. She is the one who struck me from day one when I saw her in her debut movie “Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai”. Although I didn’t liked the movie that much but liked her in the movie. I don’t know what it was which attracted me to her but there was certainly something and that feeling still continues in heart. It may be cause of I’m a scorpion (my sun sign) and we scorpions do have this especial characteristic of “loving being in long relationships”.

The more I found about her, the movie I liked her. Its not that she is the best actress in the whole wide world or in Indian cinema. I never said I liked her cause of her acting talent but she has the potential which was never being exploited by any of the directors or movie makers.

There were a few movies of her I liked like Humraaz, Gadar, Kya yahi pyaar hai. She also gave some of industries biggest hits like Gadar, Kaho naa Pyaar hai but unfortunately the actors took all the credit for the movie being a hit. Like Hritik roshan did in “kaho na pyaar hai” (obviously promoted more by his father for the movie……which made him a super star), Sunny deol for Gadar and Akshaye khanna for Humraaz. Its not that these stars were not good in the movie but Amisha should have been given more credit than she received.

Leaving all these things behind, she also took up some wrong movies in her career. Some of the movie in last 4-5 years have been sabotaging her career more than helping her. More pain added by her family problems during this course. And now she is been tagged as a multi star actress. But I hope she does some big things in her career. I’m waiting for that with my fingers crossed.

Also one of her best feature is that she is as intelligent as she is beautiful. You can look at her academics she’s been a great student and one of the most qualified people of the industry.

Okk I don’t want to say more but for the last time ………… she is my first choice if I’ll ever get one in my life.

Notting Hill – Wish It Was A Real Story

Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts, two of the biggest name of the industry paired together for a romantic movie. A smart, good looking man with a dashing smile and a woman with equivalently, if not more, dashing smile and also one of my favorite actress.

This combination raised mine expectations from the movie. But I can say this movie was good but can’t say as brilliant or among the best. Sometimes I really don’t get the emotions like love of American world. But that isn’t the relevant to this movie at present.

The movie is good because of a simple and sweet script, some awesome comic scenes with also some good emotional scenes, a few romantic ones too. Talking about the performances of the cast seems unworthy because they are talented and there isn’t anything to prove for them but the only thing I would say is that the script wasn’t that good to utilize of explore the maximum of their potential.

Over all an good but not very good.

Donnie Darko – Well Weaved and Explorers a Lot

Well the main reason of watching this movie was cause it was highly recommended by many of the Guru’s of industry. Also cause Jake Gyllenhaal, have seen some of his recent movies which impressed me a lot and thus decided to watch some of his earlier brilliant works. And Donnie Darko is one of them.

Donnie darko is a very well weaved script, very well observed and explorers the world of this Donnie guy who is extremely brilliant, highly imaginative and thinks at a different level than the contemporary guys. The movie is very successful in presenting the “said to be weird world” of his and for this the credit goes to the director of the movie which is brilliant. This movie also presents Donnie as a superhero to me, may be some of the others people also think that too, cause he has some of the supernatural power and saves life’s of many at the end.

As Donnie Darko Jake is brilliant. This is one of his best works, equivalent to Brokeback mountain. The comparison may sound very confusing but cause I have seen Brokeback Mountain earlier that’s why I’m comparing Donnie Darko with it.

Other characters in the movie are also complementary to Jake’s performance. The can be seen as a horror movie but it is a supernatural thriller. I can also say that this movie is much better than some of the horror movie when we talk about terrifying audience.

When Donnie asks frank (his imaginary friend a giant metal skull faced bunny who saved him from some catastrophe and now Donnie does what ever he says) that why he was wearing that stupid bunny suit but Frank replies with a question saying why Donnie was wearing that stupid man suit. This scene was really the most terrifying scene as Frank removes his mask after it.

I would strongly recommend this movie to all weather you want to see a thriller or a horror, this movie can give you some real shivers.

A Lot Like Love – Disappointing

This movie really doesn’t offer much as I expected from it. The trailers can said as mis leading or may be I wasn’t good enough to intercept it.

I have heard and seen of Ashton less in movies than in newspaper lastly. But you can blame that on me cause I haven’t seen much of his movies. This was the second Ashton kutcher movie and I think first Amanda Peet movie. But the cast really doesn’t matter as much as the story. And I think that was the loose part of this movie.

The movie isn’t that bad movie but still has some loose points. It may confuse the audience at few moments. Amanda was good and I liked her in the movie more than anything else. There were few good moments too in the movie like when both of them first meet……and especially the three strikes.

Little Manhattan – One of my favorite love stories

This movie is like the best to me. I have seen many love stories which were good, very good I say and also tagged as the gay movies by the tough men who think men don’t cry. Movies like notebook, a walk to remember, sleepless in seatle or serendipity and many more but this movie stands out among them because it explorers the world of a child, his first love and all the wired things which happens in the child world.

The movie starts with the main lead “Gabe” tells about the world he lives in where girls and guys world are two different things. They have a solid metal wall between them and few weird things happen when a gal touches a guy. One time when he says that he is more afraid to tell his friends that he is going out with a girl than many other things, was so funny and true. The movie felt very true and related to me atleast. The movie really shows the world I used to live in a child.

But the movie offers more than differences between these worlds, it also shows the struggle of Gabe to woo his first love “Rosemary Telsco”. How much he loves him, how she always makes his heart beat go faster when ever he looks at her.

I have seen Josh in one more movie called “Bridge to Terabithia” and it was also a awesome movie with awesome performances by the cast. I hope to see more him.

This was the first time I have seen Charlie ray but she was fulgurant in the movie. The best thing about the movie is amazing performances by these two actors.

Can see this movie a thousand of times.
